You can bring the garments yourself or send them to us once the intake has been agreed in advance. We accept only new and unused garments; used ones we do not print. Printing is done either with a DTF transfer or with HTV material (in Finnish), depending on the artwork, the material and the intended use, and the differences between the methods are explained on DTF vai HTV (in Finnish). We do not offer DTG printing. The order starts from /suunnittele-ja-tilaa/ (in Finnish), where you upload the image and tell us which garment it goes on.
Agree the intake before sending anything
Before you send anything, we need the full material composition from the care label for every garment type, plus a photo of the front and the back. The product name alone is not enough, because suitability is decided on the composition.
Design and ordering proceed at /suunnittele-ja-tilaa/: you upload an image or describe the idea, choose the garment, the print placement and the size, and enter the quantity, garment sizes and personalisation. The plan can be saved without a request for quotation, so there is time to think it over. Send the plan, the garment photos and the care-label details at the same time. We check the artwork, the garment and the method, assess material suitability and send a quote.
We give the intake address privately to an approved customer, and street addresses are not published on service pages. The work is done in Konala and Lauttasaari in Helsinki, and we deliver orders across Finland. Both locations are open Monday to Friday from 9 to 17, visits are arranged by appointment only, and customer pickup is possible only from Lauttasaari.
The material is assessed before production
We have experience with printing on cotton, polyester, cotton-polyester blends, nylon, fleece, hoodies, softshell, waterproof and coated fabrics, high-visibility workwear, technical fabrics and selected stretch materials. Experience still does not replace an assessment. Nylon and softshell are always looked at separately, and fabric containing elastane, Lycra or otherwise significant stretch is tested before production. Silk and wool we do not accept. If the garment is coated or waterproof, the survival of the original waterproofing after printing cannot be guaranteed.
The choice of method is affected by the artwork, the number of colours, the level of detail needed, the garment's material and stretch, the intended use and the amount of personalisation. Quantity alone therefore does not decide it. In a run of roughly 5–20 pieces either method may suit well. For large personalised quantities we usually recommend DTF, for a single-colour sportswear garment that needs stretch we recommend cut HTV, and for multi-colour work on a suitable stretch sportswear garment we recommend printed HTV. The HTV materials come from Lamtekno Oy, and the product is chosen according to the garment's material, stretch, intended use, the colour and durability required and whether the job is cut or printed. We do not, however, promise continuous stock availability of every product in the range. We make the final choice once we have seen the artwork and the garment.
One for production, one for testing
Deliver at least two matching garments of every garment type: one goes to production and one to testing. The test garment may wear, change or be damaged, and its return is not guaranteed.
If the test fails, the unused production garment is returned at the customer's expense, and the test garment on request if any of it remains. Without a spare piece the work can be accepted into production only with separate written consent, in which you accept the increased risk of damage, testing and misprint within the limits allowed by applicable law. With an expensive or hard-to-replace garment this is worth taking into account already at the purchasing stage; one extra piece per garment type keeps the decision easy.
What happens when the garments arrive
We photograph the garments on intake, so both parties have a record of the condition the batch arrived in. After that the arrived batch is compared against the details you gave. If the garments differ from them, we may leave the work undone, and the customer pays for the return. This is precisely why the composition and the photos are requested in advance. The customer is responsible for both the inbound and the outbound transport costs.
Production time
Normal production time is 2–3 working days. Transport time is added on top of this and weekends are not counted as working days, so 2–3 working days is not the total delivery time. The total duration can only be estimated once the delivery method and the destination are known.
With your own garments the count begins only once the garments have been received, the intake has been completed, testing and suitability have been resolved, the proof has been approved and the required advance payment has arrived. The condition met last determines the start date.
Every order requires proof approval before production. The first ordinary proof correction round is included in the order; artwork editing after that, and separate vectorising, redrawing and graphic design, cost 45 €/h, with a one-hour minimum. We confirm the quote and the final price after the check, and payment is made before the production time is confirmed.
Liability, care and complaints
We are liable for damage clearly caused during printing or application while in our possession, in accordance with the agreed terms and applicable law. A fault already present in the garment, transport damage, and damage arising after handover from use, handling or washing contrary to the care instructions fall outside this. Additional risk accepted in writing without a spare garment is taken into account only to the extent the law allows, and these limitations do not remove your rights under mandatory law. You are responsible for the right to use the artwork and for checking names, numbers, spelling and other variable details from the proof before approval.
Polyester and other synthetic fibres are washed at 30 °C, cotton at 40 °C. Line drying is the primary method and low-temperature tumble drying is permitted. The method- and garment-specific care instruction supplied with the order takes precedence over these general instructions, so pass it on to the people who actually wash the garments.
A complaint is made through the order page belonging to the order. Our aim is to respond and complete the handling within 14 working days; this is an aim, not a guarantee replacing your statutory rights.
